Okay, I don’t really know what’s going on in this show, or who anybody is, but it has NMB48 on it for this episode and I can watch it and that’s all that matters. I miss watching Japanese TV. It’s too bad that only dramas and idol programs are easy to find. Our hosts are this girl who’s dressed up like Asuka, and some guy that looks like a fat otaku. Apparently his name is GariGariGarikson and he’s a semi-popular entertainer on TV.
So I like Kishino. I don’t know why. I think it’s her face. Like sometimes I think it’s really attractive but then sometimes it looks chubby. And that guessing game keeps me interesting. I also think she can be super funny. In one segment they asked what rank they think they’ll be in the election. Kishino chose #70, saying that the competition is huge with JKT and HKT coming in the picture. I could totally rant about the election now, but I’ll leave for that later. She did say that when it comes to humor she’s #1. See, that’s kinda baller.
On the other hand, I massively dislike Riichan. Massively. I’m not gonna go far as to say I hate her because she’s like 13 and this is all just fun and entertainment anyway. Some people would buy trading cards of members they hate and then film videos of them burning them. Yeah, that’s uh… odd. Man, they’re just little girls… can’t believe grown 40 year old men are doing that stuff. Anyway, side rant on Wota over.
Here she makes me mad by saying she thinks she’s gonna be #1. This green jacket dude’s reaction in the crowd says it all.
See, look how mad he is.
Couple of random talking sessions. Apparently Shiroma’s foot odor is terrible. I can’t believe they brought that back from Naniwa Nadeshiko. But it’s funnier when she fights with Haruna. It’s not as great when Riichan points it out.
After Kei calls Riichan “KY” (空気読めない/kuuki yomenai. “can’t read the atmosphere”), Riichan calls Kei “KY” and says it’s going to be impossible for her to be an idol because she likes lizard toys. Yeah, I… I dunno.
Kishino continues to make a good impression by talking about how she sucks at those fake confessions, and she totally messes it up which is hilarious. Then during the Ippatsu-Gei (one-shot gag) session she makes her weird faces. See! A good way to make an impression!
But wait, here comes Riichan with her tired dog mimicry again. Let’s go back to that audience member in the green jacket.
There’s some other stuff like little skits where they have to say a line to try to steal a guy back, but that’s pretty much the extent of NMB48 in this show. There’s also a part at the end when they ask the audience to petition NMB for one of those confession like things. One of them picks Kishino. Her reaction afterward:
But you know what?
This show was still awesome. There’s a group of 3 girls that are like helpers or something, called Mokki Raazu, and they go to a high school tennis club to do random stuff. And for some reason, it was unexpectedly hilarious.
They play a bunch of fun games, and interview the high school kids and stuff. And the high schoolers are actually pretty funny. When AKB visited a school (psh, back in the 10nen Sakura days) the students are all shy when they meet the girls. These guys were balling it up with them.
NMB48 is fine and all but hey, this part was funny, if not funnier! And they’re just regular high school kids too! That’s awesome! They got their little comedy routines and are getting along well with the 3 ladies (who look more lovely when they actually talk with everyone). Is it just because this is Osaka? Or maybe it’s just the TV show? I’m not sure.
There was all this funny nerdy kid who does the worst Michael Jackson impression.
Anyway, that’s all for this show. Time to go read up on Iriya Mai…
