NMB48 Yamamoto Sayaka: Even after graduating from high school, “I will proceed while wearing the school uniform.” The group’s first official guidebook release.
On March 2nd, Yamamoto Sayaka, Watanabe Miyuki and company from performing group NMB48, which is based in Namba of Osaka, were in a bookstore in Tokyo to commemorate the release of their first official guide book, NMB48 Complete Book 2012, published by Koubunsha. With a smile, Yamamoto Sayaka, who is graduating this spring, had this to say: “The things that were common and ordinarily that are no longer so, it’s kind of lonely but my friends are each proceeding in their own way, so it’s reassuring and not disheartening. I will continue to proceed onward with my sailor uniform.” Also graduating is Watanabe Miyuki, who said, “It’s painful to separate from friends, but after this I can meet many new people through NMB48.”
NMB48 shares the same producer as AKB48, Akimoto Yasushi. Continuing from SKE48 who is based in and performs in Nagoya, Sakae, NMB made it’s debut on stage on New Year’s of 2011. Team M followed in the footsteps of Team N, and was just formed this January. In the same book, aside the history of all their stage performances, Team N and Team M and all the understudies are included and feature interviews with photos included. Team N, Team M, 1st gen, 2nd gen, and understudies have their own stickers, and 1 of 2 posters are included for the price of 1500 yen. Although 50,000 books were printed for the first edition, 60,000 more books have been ordered for the 2nd printing. For the event, of the 2000 who applied, 1000 fans were chosen by lottery to participate in the handshake event.
When asked about the best parts of of the book, Fukumoto Aina said with great praise, “Looking at the 2nd and 3rd gen, I was surprised that they had such adult expressions. Especially Murase Sae, her sexy-style poses really have the feeling of a grown woman.” From Kotani Riho, “They wrote that I was a stylish princess so it really makes me want to try harder.” Jounishi Kei said her highlight was the members’ clothes that were chosen. Yamamoto Sayaka advertised the book as saying “There are many things written in here that even the fans don’t know about.” (Mainichi Shinbun Digital)
