ＮＭＢ４８・3rd Generation “We wanted to see everyone!”
NMB48, the idol group based in Namba, Osaka, had its 3rd generation debut on the 29th on it’s home ground. Of the 22 of the 3rd generation with an average age of fourteen and even includes a so-called “Millenium Baby” born in the year 2000, 16 debuted. During Golden Week, their fresh faces were shining brightly.
“We really wanted to meet everyone!” said 16 happy voices.
Using the set list from AKB48 Team A 2nd stage “Aitakatta” and songs like “Aitakatta” and NMB’s “Junjou U-19” the girls were soaked with sweat from singing and dancing the 18 songs. With about 3 and a half months of training, and training 3 hours a day, they were able to see the fruits of their label blossom on the stage they dreamed of performing on.
The 3rd generation center position and other positions haven’t been set in stone yet, but the center of the front line is the “ace candidate” Yabushita Shu. After the end of the show, she said that “We scored 100 out there. It’s my dream to be in the NMB48 single senbatsu,” although she laughingly added that because she couldn’t sleep the night before, “I went to my mom’s place and slept. I’m an 8th grader after all.” The youngest, Yamauchi Tsubasa, said “I love singing. I spend most of my days off from school singing. My role model is Watanabe Miyuki-san,” she said.
They will be performing for 3 consecutive days, ending on May 1st.
Well, that’s a better look at what’s going on with 3rd gen. Looks like they have a potential ace already? It’ll be interesting to see when they get exposure on TV shows.
