I was really stoked for this show when it was announced even though I didn’t know the format. I like it even more. I’d rather get a Naniwa Nadeshiko season 2, but this is also an awesome variety for the NMB girls to strut their stuff.
That said, let’s go straight to episode 2.Starts off with a joke about hospitals and salons. Hospitals are byouin（病院）, salons are biyouin（美容院）. I remember that the “in” part means institute… so it’s like the sick people institute and the beautiful contents institute. Heh.
Anyway, the more I see Yamamoto the more perfect she looks as a tsukkomi. I think she’s even showing acting potential here despite the low-budget crappy acting feel, which is fine because they’re not trying THAT hard. Nana is alright but unpolished.Akarin storms the set as part of the cabin attendant (CA) club. Man. I really hate how her main claim to fame is looking older than she really is. Yeah, uh, way to trap people.
Anyway, in this part she says “excuse me” a bunch and makes a ton of jokes regarding CA meaning something else. Good for her. Then like, OMG, Milky joined the CA club too wtfbbq. Milky’s kinda odd in this show, I feel. She’s like… bad at acting, but it makes you wanna “kyun” for lack of a better (or English) word. She’s smiling and laughing when she’s not supposed to be. Her bokes are bad but adorable. It’s strange, that’s for sure. Eh, whatever.
With Gotou on the set, we move to the variety portion. “Say a small speech as a cabin attendant that would make someone want to meet you.”Jou is crazy. By that I mean, she can bomb jokes, and then she can look at you with her smile and it feels like you can forgive her for everything. She had Gotou on her side.
Honestly, her smile is too good. It’s also a real smile and not the fake smile you see a lot in the entertainment world.Back to the drama: Yoshida fires Milky because she thinks the comedy club is right for her. We get a manzai of Ainyan and Maachun. Maachun is too, too good. Would love to see her with different tsukkomis, as I feel like Ainyan was a little weak. She was good with Nana in the Nicofarre live. We also have a miniclip of the other half of Football Hour, Iwao, giving advice on manzai. His head comes out of the ground for some reason. This is also where I noticed how short everyone’s skirts are. And lastly we finish off with a quiz just like the last episode. “What do you think Fukumoto Aina is like?” Milky’s answer: I’m so happy this show exists. Great comedy, great hosts. I don’t think anything more needs to be said.
