First, we have Nana and her gyoza.
-Nana burns gyoza
Nana: (Google) Plus Gyoza! I wonder if I cooked it better than the last time?
Nana: It was delicious!
Nana: Well, I guess I burned it, but it’s still good! It’s okay because it’s better than last time.
I… totally understand. It’s kinda of creepy. Of course I usually rationalize my burnt food by saying “Uh… it’s just for the extra crunchy texture.” It’s also really hard to manage a BBQ grill and cook stuff indoors on the stove at the same time. That was a disaster. I will never do that again.
Speaking of gyoza, oh my gosh, I really want to eat some now. I wish we had more gyoza specialists in Los Angeles. I only know of one, which is Beni Tora in Mitsuwa. And you get these mega fat gyoza too that are like burritos. It’s pretty awesome.
I also remember when I watched that Naruhodo High School episode and they demonstrated how to make Hane Gyoza. I remember when I tried it too. It was terrible. I definitely gotta work on my gyoza skills. Maybe this weekend, I do have some ground pork in the freezer…
I also kinda miss Non’s corner in AKB to XX! Now how am I gonna get my gyoza recommendations when I visit Osaka possibly in April?
-Murakami Ayaka makes a really strange update on G+
Maybe aliens attacked tomorrow…
The day after tomorrow, the country of potatoes
Was attacked by the country of udon…
I would want to live each day as important
And with no regrets
She follows up:
The blog has been updated!
Oh and, no, I’m not sick. (lol)
And no, there’s no way a country of potatoes would attack Japan. (lol)
I can’t stop laughing. Especially at that 2ch picture. Oh man.
It’s weird, when I think NMB, this is what I think of. This kind of relaxed atmosphere with weird jokes and silliness abound. It was already silly when they named their single Kitagawa Kenji. It was even nuttier when they invited him to the handshake event and people lined up to shake his hand. And they didn’t stop there, because for the next event they invited him, his wife, and his son.
Like seriously, what? Haha.
And if you watch more LODs, you really get a sense of this atmosphere too. It’s really amazing how far they’ve all come in MC ability to create a smooth, fun, playful atmosphere, and it just shows not in just the LODs but in G+ and in their appearances.
My favorite MC:
Keila: Kawakami Rena-san (Rena-pyon), you’re going to be 18 years old later this year, right?
Rena: Yes, that’s right!
Rena: Why are you all laughing at me?!
Keila: Well, you’re almost 18 and you’re still pretending to act like a child even though you’re old, isn’t there something wrong with that?!
Rena: What? No way! This is my normal personality, this is how I always act!
Keila: That’s not very good, is it?
Rena: I’m like a princess, I don’t see why it’s bad…
Keila: *leada crowd chant* She’s a fake! She’s a fake! She’s a fake!
Rena: Hey! Hey! What’s going on? Come on guys! Why is everyone here mean to me?!
I find this hilarious for so many reasons. Keila, the 13-year-old, calling out Rena for acting like a kid. The crowd interaction when they all laugh at her and she comments on it. Keila, leading a chant to call her a fake. So good. This is why I like NMB so much. Heck, even the above post of Nana burning her gyoza is indicative of the fun laidback atmosphere.
