Well, if I thought the last episode was subdued with NMB, they pull no punches in this episode. Hilarious all around.
The format of the show has several sections, starting with an interview of random things. As always, when it comes to NMB, everyone says they’re funny. I wish there was some way to better translate this to foreign audiences. Seriously, their humor is on another level entirely… like it’s not exactly cheap and silly, there’s some extra layers to it. I think.
First we start off with each member giving their ippatsu-gei, or “One-Shot Gag.”
Milky’s impression was one of Nana running away from a crow. One of the funny things about watching this is that for some reason Milky also flaps her wings. I don’t think Nana would do that, lol. But you see what I mean? Look how well their humor transitions into itself. You just don’t get that from AKB or SKE, and probably HKT too.
As for Sayaka…
The next section was about sexual harrassment and how everyone keeps touching Sayaka’s boobs. Specifically Yuuko.
Classic lines by Kojima and Ariyoshi:
Kojima – It must be nice to have something that everyone wants to touch!
Ariyoshi: Have you thought about suing her?
Yamamoto: Nah, of course not.
Ariyoshi: If I touched your boobs, would you sue me?
Yamamoto: Definitely.
Kojima: That’s only natural.
The next section is about what they’re currently into, like hobbies and stuff.
Milky starts off by saying she likes looking at kids. Ariyoshi tells her to be careful that she doesn’t cause any crime, lol. That would be fishing of the worst kind.
Nana talks about how she’s into looking at girls in magazines. She starts by talking about how she likes looking at Kojima… not to say she’s into Kojima. Kojima asks her if she’s into looking at guys.
Whaaaaaaatttttttt? Maybe this is why Nana has a lot of female fans.
Kojima counters by saying that they do, but it’s a secret among girls so they don’t talk about it. Milky says she likes nice shoulder blades and Nana talks about how she has a fetish for looking at guys from the back when they take off their necklace. Err, what?
Sayaka talks about how she’s into Boys Love, or shipping with guys. Which guys?
This reminds me of when I went to Comiket and there was yaoi manga of anthropomorphized train lines having sex with each other. Or one with Tokyo Tower and the Eiffel Tower. What is wrong with people, lol. And Downtown? Really?
They asked Ariyoshi if he prefers to be the feminine or the masculine one. Uh, not a conversation I want to listen to.
The next section is about denying or confirming rumors.
Based on Mariko’s speech, Sayaka now views everyone as rivals. According to her, this is when she made the decision to cut her hair. I really wanted to see more of this, more inter-group rivalry, and this is the real reason I don’t like NMB in AKB singles. Ah, well.
They asked Milky to confirm or deny if she was perverted or not, and they showed evidence.
One of them was her G+ where she asks someone to come with her to chapu chapu.
Milky: “I like chapu chapu, so…”
I’m honestly not sure if she’s fishing or if she’s just being real and innocent. I can totally believe the innocent part because I can sort of think like that.
I’m really not sure. Maybe she’s unaware (or uncaring) of how cute she is?
I’m not falling for it though. If anything, I want them to fall for me. Heh.
For Nana they wanted to know if she was older than she said she was, lol. They came to the conclusion that her hand movements and voice make her look older, lol. To be honest she looks younger to me, maybe because she’s so short.
Lastly we finish off with some strange item improv comedy, where they have to be both funny and attract Ariyoshi, or something like that.
I got nervous when Nana appeared, given all her fails on Geinin, but…
That doesn’t even make any sense, but it totally does, lol.
Milky uses Ariyoshi’s armpit fetish to her advantage.
The winner was Kojima Haruna, who had gems like these.
At the end they asked NMB what they thought about their appearance. The reply was something like “I didn’t know we could say such perverted things,” and “I shouldn’t have held back.” Oh boy. I hope they appear again, this episode was comedy gold.
